POWER SPEAKING ESL specializes in intensive speaking through 1:1 classes and group classes. All classes are integrated to speaking which is very helpful to enhance students’ speaking skill to the higher level. Self-study program is optional to students. Classes can be customized depending on the student’s purpose of training.

Our TOEIC Program is unique compared to other academies and schools. In JIC, and because TOEIC Program is in PS, we prioritize fl exibility and to focus on not just TOEIC but also genral English, especially speaking. TOEIC Program combines classes from TOEIC together with other subjects in which the student may choose from.

PS-Working Holiday
WORKING HOLIDAYis for students who want to improve their communication skills and prepare for employment and travel in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. The program familiarizes the students to resume writing, job interview and practical situations through JIC Self- developed Working Holiday Reference Materials.

Students who are enrolled in the Working Holiday Program will have the opportunity to choose, experience and train for one of the internships provided. Working Holiday Program offers Barista Training and Volunteer work.

Barista Program
Barista Internship Program is held in Café Lusso, a top-of-the-line café. The students will be trained to make and create different concoctions of different variety of coffees, roast level, identifying taste, and many more suited for cafes.

The Internship costs $40 if paid together with the registration. It will cost an additional P3000 if paid in the Philippines or P4000 for those who just wants to join and are not enrolled in the PS-WH program.
Volunteer Work
JIC proudly offers extra-curricular activities where students may volunteer to give a helping hand to either JIC made charitable programs, the Philippine government or renowned business who require extra labor force to a certain event.

TOEIC Speaking | This class is designed to improve the necessary speaking skills needed for the TOEIC Speaking Test. | |
Mandatory Group TOEIC: 4 classes | TOEIC Speaking II Listening Reading Comprehension | Provides intensive training and review. Equips students with vocabulary, grammatical knowledge and familiarization of the different English accents and speeds to tackle the TOEIC test. TOEIC students must take TOEIC Mock Test three times a week. The results are reviewed in class. |
Mandatory Group WH: 2 classes | Working Holiday | Suitable for students planning to work abroad. Students will learn important facts of the different English nations and also learn how to make a resume, answer job interviews correctly and have the opportunity to intern/work in an esteemed café. |
Evening Programs (Optional) | Vocabulary | Vocabulary familiarization and tests are given from Monday to Friday for 2 weeks if applied for as it is optional. |
Self Study | Students are given designated seats to study and are strictly monitored by managers for 2 weeks if applied for as it is optional. |
Certificate and Students Class Record
A certificate and a student’s class record are issued upon graduating as long as s/he has at least 90 % class attendance. Student’s class record includes class behavior, score and levels that shows his/her English level improvement and overall performance evaluated by the teachers.
Class Regulation
- All group classes are divided according to levels. A student should choose group classes according to his/herlevel.
- Four classes is the standard number of classes in a day. Total attendance is checked every 2 weeks.
- New students may add or change their subjects after 2 weeks.
- Students who apply for 5 classes must attend all 5 classes during 2 weeks.
- English zones are designated where speaking English is strictly enforced.
- Changing of schedule (add classes, change classes and change class schedule) is done every 2 weeks.
- 1 hour class is 45 minutes study and 10 minutes.
